Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is designed to educate our community, draw attention to the problems of poverty. This week we will be generating awareness about hunger and homelessness with a series of events to engage the entire WSU and local community. Be sure to check out our calendar of events for more information and use the hashtag #hhaw17.

All week

Instagram cook off
All week long we'll be having a cook off contest via Instagram. Join us with the hashtag #HHAWcookoff to show off your recreations of one of our recipes.
Warm clothing and canned food drive
All week long, donate any warm clothes you may have extra of, like gloves, scarves or even jackets! They will be going to a local shelter for the homeless in need. Boxes are located in FAB, AAB and Welcome Center.

Slip N' Slice
7 p.m. | Student Center Hilberry A 
Come tell us how you believe hunger and/or homelessness affects college life/academics and leave with a slip to redeem a slice of pizza at The W Open House on Thursday.

Tuesday, November 13

To eat or not to eat
1 to 4 p.m. | Student Center Literature Table
Join The W at an informational session about expired foods, how long you can keep them and if you should eat them!

Fall Open House
7 to 8 p.m. | The W Food Pantry
Come and learn more about how The W works and what we offer by dropping in at our Fall Open House.
